Freedom!

Another semester has come and gone here at  BYU-Idaho. I turned my final paper in yesterday and took my final test today. Husband still has ONE MORE test left. He has one more studious night ahead of him before he gets a break. This semester was a good one, but really one of my most stressful. I have been working everyday and taking 14 credits, it has really been overwhelming some days. I had my last day of work until next semester today. Drew came and picked me up like normal, but when we got home I saw something on my door:
"Congrats! You ROCK"

I opened the door, the table was set, chicken alfredo was made and smelling D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S, the laptop was set up with the NCIS I missed on Tuesday night because I had a study session for a final, and on the cabinet was this:
You "R" All done!
I followed the arrow on the paper and yes, another sign:
" Eat, Drink and Be Merry For Tomorrow..."
"You..."
.
"Sleep in!! :) :)"
What a cute, perfect husband I have! Life is SO great! We are looking forward to the Christmas Break from school and the Christmas holiday. We so love the Christmas Season and the Opportunity we have to reflect more on the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. What a wonderful time of the year. I hope everyone is having a great holiday season!

Oh P.S. Enjoy this cute video I found:

O Christmas Tree O Christmas tree...

So my brother Cameron is in a photography class at school. He needed a picture of two people interacting with one another. Solution was to come over to our house and take pictures of Drew and I. Conveniently we were setting up our Christmas tree that same night. So we got pictures taken of us setting up our tree (which wouldn't have existed otherwise) SCORE! For your enjoyment...

So we are slowly getting everything ready for Christmas. Only 5 more days of school, then it is Christmas BREAK! WOO! This year we are spending Christmas with Drew's family. It will be so fun! We are really excited! Merry early Christmas to All, and to All a good night! (not yet, still have homework. It isn't Christmas break yet)

My blogging DREAMS..

OK, I know I am not the most consistent blogger. I absolutely know that. However, I am convinced that once I am done with school, I WILL be better. Since I am not done with school yet, I have a problem. This problem consists of procrastination and blog stalking. Actually, It has turned into blog coveting. I just want to be an GoodGreat ABSOLUTELY AWESOME blogger! But for now, I will just update you on life and continue to put more effort into blogging consistently.

Life is pressing forward even if we are not ready for it. School is completely draining for both husband and I. We are both looking forward to a relaxing Christmas Break consisting of PJ's, Diet Pepsi, SLEEP, NCIS, Family (really the most important :)), No homework, and each other. It twill be incredible and much needed. But until then, we are dealing with work (everyday), school, homework, homework, oh and homework. I don't mean to make life sound terrible, it most definitely is NOT! In between our homework, school, and work, we find time to spend with each other relaxing, play with our friends, and see family.

Last week was Thanksgiving! Husband and I went on a long 10 hour adventure (each way) with Lindsay and Travis, and Cameron. We drove to Washington state to visit my family. It was so nice! My brother Cameron is in a photography class here at school and needed to take some pictures for his class. They ended up turning out really GREAT! Sadly, I don't have copies of those pictures yet. BUT, when I do, I will post for all to see! For Thanksgiving we had A LOT of people in the house. Food was great, Family Time was great, and vacationing was much needed! BLACK FRIDAY was awesome! To start off our great day of shopping we slept in, then ate breakfast, and decided, okay I guess we can go to some stores. Amazingly enough, the stores still had what we were looking for. Great Success.

Now that thanksgiving is over, I CAN TALK ABOUT, SING ABOUT, AND DREAM ABOUT CHRISTMAS ALL I WANT! Some one I know, has a real problem with anything Christmas until AFTER thanksgiving. So now that thanksgiving is over, the partying can begin! We went to Wally-World and bought our first family Christmas tree and Ornaments! We have yet to set it up, but plan on doing so soon! I will post pictures of our Christmas Loving apartment as soon as we get things set up.

Ok, Post is long enough. Sorry no pictures. Next time, I promise! Happy Belated Thanksgiving and Merry Soon-To-Be Christmas!

Big BABY News!

.......

Drew and I are no longer just {Ashley and Drew}.... We are now officially... Uncle Drew and Aunt Ashley!
Ryker David Wright was born on November 2nd 2011! He is the most adorable little baby I have ever seen! ( I may be a little bias). We were able to go down last weekend and welcome the little guy into the family. He really is such a good baby. I think the only time he really cries is when he is getting his diaper changed {and boy does he cry} but come on! Could you blame him? And even then... his little scream is so cute I have a hard time taking him seriously. :) It was so fun to hang out with Justin and Heather for the weekend! They are already such great parents! Ryker is one lucky dude!

Now after a week away from the little guy, I am READY  DYING To go back! I wish we lived in Utah so I could see him EVERYDAY! As everyone can see, I have a new obsession. I love being an Aunt!

Opportunities to Do Good...

We LOVE Mormon Messages. They are so inspiring and eye opening. What can I improve on to become a better disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ?

"There are chances for work all around just now,
Opportunities right in our way.
Do not let them pass by, saying, “Sometime I’ll try,”
But go and do something today.
’Tis noble of man to work and to give;
Love’s labor has merit alone.
Only he who does something helps others to live.
To God each good work will be known.

Then wake up and do something more
Than dream of your mansion above.
Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure,
A blessing of duty and love.
"

This makes me think, have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need? What acts of service have I done? Challenge to myself: Serve someone! Make someone's day a little bit better! By serving others {and forgetting about yourself} you will also become happier. Who can you serve today?

Thats Life..

Ok, Ok, I know I am terrible at this whole Blogging thing. I actually thought I was going to keep up with it. Then, school started, flu season came, and there has been ZERO time to blog. I've been having a hard time with taking pictures as well and I feel like a {Good} blog post needs pictures. Whats been going on with us? Well if you really want to know...
School started: Yes, this is no rumor. It is unfortunately true. Drew and I are both going to school this semester. I am taking a full load of credits and we are both working on campus. Drew works in Admissions and I am still working as an Academic Counselor on campus. BUT, we are lucky to have just about the same schedule. We go on campus at 7:30AM and get home at 5PM. Since Drew and I both have campus jobs, we dress nice professional everyday . Jeans or no longer in our wardrobe (except for weekends I guess).

He's a keeper!
School is fine. Pretty much taking over our lives, but fine. I graduate in July and Drew will graduate the April after that. Graduation couldn't come soon enough {278 days}. WOO!
Cameron's Birthday (and curtis): Happy 22nd Birthday to Cameron and Curtis (September 29th) {Yeah, I am that behind}. Because Cameron lives up here, I wanted to throw him a surprise birthday party. The problem with that is, their birthday was the Thursday before General Conference . People had already started to head out of town for the weekend. So it ended up being just a few people. We had TACOS for dinner and Lindsay made an Ice Cream cake. {delicious!}. It ended up being pretty fun!

Mike and Brittany's Wedding! I don't have any pictures... But on Oct. 7th we (Me, Drew and Cameron) went down to Utah to see my cousin Mike be sealed for time and all {ETERNITY} to Brittany! I had never been inside the Salt Lake Temple! It was such a beautiful ceremony and they are a GORGEOUS couple! I am so excited to welcome Brittany to the family. I'm looking forward to getting to know her better. Congratulations Mike and Brittany Davis!
Tie Tying: Cool huh? Husband taught me how to tie a tie. For some reason, his looked a lot better than mine! Mine ended up being really FAT. I'm not sure how to fix that. I guess practice makes perfect.

Other than that, nothing too big has been happening. I got sick last week and then today Drew threw up a couple times, but we think he just had food poisoning. He is feeling better. School, work and spending time together are keeping us busy. I will put forth more of an effort to blog more OFTEN! Happy Happy Sunday!

A Little Something for Sunday

This morning Ashley and I watched a video from the LDS Youth website. I saw a friend post it on Facebook and that was when I realized that I knew the story told in the video not because I had seen the video before, but because I remember this happening in my town growing up. As Cameron might ask, "Something happened in the little town of Inkom, and it's on lds.org? What?" Surprising as it might be, there might be a lesson for all of us to learn from the little town of Inkom Idaho. (P.S. Click to make it full screen. It's cut off a little by the Blog.)

As we watched this, a different spirit entered our hearts. We began to ask each other, "What was Elder Holland trying to teach me? What can I learn from Bryce and A.J.?" So now I pose that same question to you. What lesson does God want you to learn from a miracle that happened in little Inkom Idaho?

Jesus Christ lives. The Priesthood, or power of God, is on the earth today. Through that power, A.J. lives today as a example that miracles do happen.

The Family:

Since my major is Child Development I am taking a lot of classes about the family. One class that I am taking (with drew!) is called Family Relations. For this class we have been assigned to make a blog that we could use as a journal to write down thoughts and feelings we have throughout the semester. I LOVE my family, both the family I grew up with, Drew, and the family I married into. Without families, what would life be like? I know I am incredibly grateful for my family. I know without them, I wouldn't be who I am today.

Anyways, I would love for you to check out my second blog and keep up with it. I am hoping to share my testimony about families through this blog. Enjoy!

Living the Life...

Ok, So before I got married, people always told me how incredible married life is. Now that I am married, I agree ONE HUNDRED PERCENT! This last weekend I have come down with a cold. at first it was just my nose and throat. I thought it was allergies. I was wrong. I woke up Saturday morning feeling terrible. All I wanted was some french toast and NO work. However, I had to go to a mandatory work training meeting that lasted 3 hours. We didn't have anything to make french toast so cereal had to do. :( While I was at work, not feeling well and craving french toast my incredible husband hurried around being simply incredible. After three long hours at work, Drew came and picked me up and I came home to this:

I walked in to door totally rambling about something not important and stopped in mid sentence and smiled. :) Gerber Daisies on the table. The table was set for two! For Lunch we had Sausage, Hash browns and French Toast (With HOMEMADE syrup!) It was the best Lunch Ever! It's great to have someone who takes such good care of me! You don't have to worry Mom and Dad, I am in good hands!

Honey- MOOOOONING!

Ok, Ok, Ok, I know I am behind on Blogging. Slowly but surely, I will catch up!

Honeymoon!
Drew and I were able to go to the Oregon Coast (Lincoln City to be exact) on our honeymoon. It was SO relaxing and enjoyable!
TA DAH! Breath Taking right?

We were able to have 3 nights and 4 days at the coast. Our humble abode while there was at the Pelican Shores Inn. Although it doesn't sound like much, It absolutely was!

This is the view from our window!

King Suite (Including wine glasses, sparking cider and chocolate, "on the house")

Oh yeah! Beach front!

While we were there we went to the beach, did some shopping (GREAT outlet mall!), did some glass blowing, took a tour of the Tilamook Cheese Factory, Went to the beach some more, slept, ate, beach, and so on... Here are some pictures:
My husband's awesome photography skills... cool angle huh?

Finally here!

:)

This is us! Mr. and Mrs. Wright!

He realized the water was COLD!

Then thought, "what the heck.. why not?"
Our glass blowing was a pretty cool experience. It is kinda like blowing up a balloon, only the balloon is glass and it is a lot more complicated! We chose our colors and eventually blew up the glass. Check it out!
Drew. He was in charge of snipping the balloon off the pole.

Me! Blowing up our glass balloon

Our work of art!
Well, now we are home. We have almost organized our home. Everyday it feels a little more homey :) School starts tomorrow. We are both nervous but excited for the new semester to start. It is always nice to have some routine in our lives. Drew and I both started working again. I am back at my old job as an academic advisor on campus and Drew started to work in the admissions office. He is a TOUR GUIDE! oh and he answers phone calls. :) I wish I were a prospective student so I could go on one of his tours. I bet he is the best tour guide EVER! Anyways... I will blog more later, lots more to blog about! Until then...

Keep the Faith,

Yay!!! We're Married!!

It's been a week since we were sealed for time and all eternity. It has been a wonderful week where we have gotten to know each other better. We spent the week moving into our spacious two bedroom apartment without moving into one of the bedrooms. Ashley asked Kylee (a friend from Inkom) to move in so she wouldn't have to live in the apartment all alone. So, it has been harder to find places for things to go without taking advantage of the second bedroom. Ashley has absolutely LOVED living with kylee though. It has definitely been one big HUGE party! :)

But back to the wonderful day of marriage, we loved walking into the sealing room and seeing so many people that we knew and loved. It was so comforting to know every single face in the room and realize how much we loved each one. Getting the huge blessing to participate in a sealing in the House of our Lord helped our testimonies of the gospel grow and strengthen. We know that if we keep covenants made to each other and to the Lord, we can be a family for eternity. What a beautiful concept. "The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan."

After taking billions of pictures and loosing all feeling in our faces from smiling again and again, we headed down to stuff our faces at Chuck A'Rama (or as Ashley calls it, Chuck-Your-Grandma). The food was delicious after having such an early start that morning. It was nice to finally eat something. Then we all embarked on our journey to the spot on the map titled Inkom. If you are reading this wondering "where in the world is Inkom?" you aren't the only one. Inkom a small town about 10-15 minutes south of Pocatello. We spent the evening there at our reception and completed the day by driving back to Rexburg. It was such a long day, but definitely the best day ever!

We feel blessed to finally be married. It seems that all the stress we had has left us and we are on cloud 9. As we hope that this fairy tale of no stress will never end, we move towards the day of one more reception and then our escape to the Oregon coast (woohoo!) Our reception here in Washington is well planned and will turn out beautiful!

For those of you who were not able to make it to our special day, here is a little peek into some of the pictures! We want to thank everyone for your love and support! We love all you guys!

Keep the Faith,

The Wright Family

The Final Countdown

Well, this is it! This is my last week as a single woman. It still doesn't feel real. Come Friday, I will no longer be Ashley Elizabeth Bullock, I will be Ashley Elizabeth Wright. I have been dreaming about finding my prince charming and having my fairytale wedding from the time I was 3?4? Something like that. How surreal, that in 4 days my dream day will be here. Excited is definitely an understatement.

TODAY - 4 days!
TUESDAY - 3 days!
WEDNESDAY - 2 days!
THURSDAY - 1 day!
FRIDAY - It's HERE!

It is SO close! I feel like it can't come fast enough. I look forward to having someone be there for me forever. Having someone who will do anything to make me happy. I look forward to not saying good bye every night, instead just saying goodnight and fall asleep next to each other. Drew is more than I dreamed of as a 3 year old girl. He is incredible. I love him so much! I am ecstatic to start this new adventure with him. I can't thank everyone who has been involved with the planning of the wedding and our SUPER support system enough! You guys are the best!

As you can tell, Life is good. :)

Just some Updates...

Hello!

First of all, It finally hit me! I am really getting married! I'm not sure when this hit me, but it hasn't felt "real" until now. It's quite the feeling. It's kind of a mixture between anxiousness, excitement and intimidation. I am going to be living with drew, in our own apartment (hopefully, we're still looking for one), paying our own bills and learning how to live life together. It will be such a new adventure. I'm not sure what it is going to be like, but I am just excited for it to begin! The wedding plans are going just swell. I didn't realize how many little things planning a wedding entails.. It includes things like food for two receptions, flowers, clothing for myself and Drew, clothing for our parents and siblings, decorations for two receptions, wedding dress alterations, wedding registry, honeymoon plans, scheduling the temple, guest lists, bridal shower, engagement pictures, bridals, wedding invitations, etc. (I think you get the picture.) My mom has been an incredible help! However, at times it can still be a bit overwhelming. We are knocking things out one thing at a time though. Life is SO good. One thing i am completely at peace with is my decision to marry Drew. I don't know how I got someone so great, but I KNOW I am going to have a happy, blessed life with Drew Wright.

Secondly, Trying to find a house is a nightmare! We thought we found the perfect place, it was a two bedroom, spacious, with washer/dryer hookups and it was a great deal. The only thing holding us back from putting a deposit down was they will only hold it for us for 30 days. Since we can't start moving in until after the semester ends, I was waiting until June 22nd or so to put a deposit down. Everyday I checked to make sure it was still available and things were definitely looking up! The 22nd was only a week away, then it was ours! Next thing I know, Drew calls me to inform me that they had sold it. Our dream apartment was gone! They told him they might have another one opening up at the end of June or beginning of July but they weren't sure. (We've heard that one a few times). So here we are... back to square one. I am about ready to give up on housing. The weather is probably nice enough we can just fix up a cardboard box and put it in the middle of Porter Park. That would work at least until winter. I imagine our house in Porter Park looking something like this:
We could have and address, a mailbox and everything! But really, if you have any tips on apartment hunting, please let me know! I am open to just about anything right now!

Finally, Drew and I got all our engagement pictures back! I was so incredibly happy to receive the CD in the mail! I spent the whole morning looking at the pictures over and over again. It's fun to see our our photographer captured our love. We really are so in love with one another and it shows in our pictures. Now the hard part is choosing just a few to use for our invitations. Just another thing to add to the To-Do list. These are a few of my new favorites:

As you can see, Life is wonderful! I am still up here at school. Working hard, well.. I am trying to work hard. For some reason I keep getting distracted and all I can think about it getting married. Drew is down in Inkom working really LONG days. I can't tell you how grateful I am that I am marrying such a hard worker. He will really do anything it takes to provide for me. What a blessing! I hope life is going well for all of you!  "Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, but with great purpose in heart." — President Gordon B. Hinckley
