I can't believe May is already half way over. It feels like may has just passed so quickly! Drew and I were talking about this yesterday. To us, the days feel like weeks and the weeks feel like months, but when the month is over and we're looking back, it feels like it passed so quickly. Funny how that works.
Yes the countdown has begun. 92 days until the BEST DAY EVER! I know that sounds like so far away, but in reality, it is only 3 months. I am in school until July 22nd, so I have to do a lot of my planning over the phone or through email. We don't have a lot of the details figured out yet, but just this week, we really started planning. The Logan Temple is called and scheduled, we are figuring out places to do our receptions, we are talking about colors and who is wearing what, decorations, food, flowers, etc. I feel like I need to figure out a way to balance school, work and wedding planning. All I can seem to think about is my perfect day and being married to the perfect guy. All I want to do is plan. It makes the whole wedding seem more real. If you have any suggestions for me, let me know!
This weekend Drew and I went down to Utah for my cousin's wedding. While we were down there we went wedding dress shopping. On Friday, I didn't find anything really and I was getting really frustrated. We shopped from about 10 in the morning until 2:30 ish. We decided to call it a day. On Saturday, we went up to Salt Lake and went to a bridal shop at the Gateway mall. The very first dress I tried on was "the dress"! It is absolutely GORGEOUS! I don't even know how to explain it, but I love it! As nontraditional as it is, Drew came dress shopping with me and helped me pick it out. I wouldn't have it any other way. Also while we were down in Utah, we took our engagement pictures! Maria Wood took them. She is absolutely incredible! She took my senior pictures a couple years ago and ever since then it has been a fantasy of mine the she would shoot my wedding. It makes me SO happy that she can actually do it. We started our Photo Session at like 6pm and we were taking pictures for a couple hours. I've only seen a few of them but the ones I have seen look FANTASTIC! These are just a few of the ones I have seen:
This very bottom one was actually taken at the Harley Davidson shop. It was the coolest building built out of old rusted metal. They said we could take pictures there as long as we didn't get in their way. So while we were taking pictures there, they were riding their motorcycles all around and revving their engines. It was SO loud, but such a fun experience. I can't wait until we get to see the rest of the pictures! I absolutely love maria's work! She is also going to do our bridals and our pictures at the temple. I am so excited!
Life is Busy. Drew is working hard down in Inkom. He is doing Construction, working long hours and making good money. It is quite the blessing that he is able to have that job and earn that money. I am up here in Rexburg going to school. I am taking 13 credits and working 16 hours a week. Luckily, we get to spend the weekend with each other. It has been quite a challenge for us, being separated during the week so it makes it a bit more bearable being able to see each other on the weekends. God gives us trials and challenges to make us stronger right? Even though we don't fully understand why we need to go through certain challenges, God always knows. As hard as it is, I know if we have faith and trust in God, things will work out!
Have a great week!
Love,
Ashley (almost) Wright

It's official... I'm going to be a Wright!
Okay, I am so excited to make this new blog! I wasn't going to write anything on it until after we got married, but I couldn't wait! As most of you know, Drew and I are engaged!! I can't even explain how incredible it feels to have someone love and care about me the way Drew does. I am honestly SO blessed. For those of you who don't know, Drew and I met in January. We started dating like the second week of school and have been living a fairytale ever since. Growing up, Drew isn't anything like I imagined. He is honestly 20X better. As far as the engagement story goes, Drew and I have been separated the last couple weeks. He is working in Pocatello and I am going to school in Rexburg. We get to see each other on the weekends. Here is the story:
On Friday (April 22) I road the shuttle down to Pocatello after a week of not seeing him. He took me to dinner to Wingers (FYI, the first night we met, we went to Wingers with a big group of people and it is also where we went on our first date). Dinner was great! After dinner, he didn't really have any specific plans so we just drove around Pocatello for a while talking. Finally, on our way back to Inkom, we decided to go to the top of the mountain and watch the sunset. Fortunately, it was actually a fantastic sunset. After watching the sunset for a while, he started telling me how much he loved me and how he didn't ever want to live with out me. He said my name and I looked over and that's when he got down on one knee and opened the ring box. He said, "Ashley, will you marry me and be my eternal companion?" I was speechless! I didn't say anything for a good 30 seconds. Finally, a YES came out! He was about to put the ring on my hand then I realized he was holding the wrong hand. So I whispered, "That's the wrong hand" (He was a little bit nervous) The ring is absolutely perfect! We had gone ring shopping the week before. I wasn't expecting to get it so soon though because we didn't (and still don't) have any money. It was a pretty big surprise! To sum it up, I am absolutely and incredibly excited to marry Drew Thomas Wright. He is perfect for me and we are totally in love. :)
The Official Date is August 19th, 2011 in the Logan, UT Temple! I cannot wait until I am sealed to Drew for time and all eternity and officially be Ashley Elizabeth Wright! I have never been so sure of anything in my entire life! Life is so great! I am so blessed and I am living a real life fairytale!
