Brinley is Back!

This last weekend Abbi's cute friend Brinley came to Inkom and they stopped by to say hi! We sure love when we get a chance to have a playdate with Brinley. It's fun to see Abbigail interact with someone her own age... although Brinley is A LOT taller than Abbi, they still get along quite well! They both share a fond love for the chickens in Nana's backyard, so we spent some time out there... Brinley was so well behaved and just sat and and talked to the chickens holding her basket to collect the eggs and my daughter is the one that wanders around the yard, eats dirt, then yells at me for it. {gotta love her.} Also, today happens to be Brinley's first birthday! YAY! Happy Birthday Brinley!

Final note: Abbi and Brinley are 11 days apart.. if you do the math ;) that means Abbi turns one in 11 DAYS!!!!!!!  (I'm kinda freaking out!)

Cousin Time!

Last weekend, we got to party with Ryker and Daniel (Abbi's two cousins on Drew's side). Okay, first of all, remember when Ryker was this big, then he grew a little bit, but now he is a little boy! No more baby Ryker, he is a full blown toddler!

Ryker came up on Friday and stayed with Nana and Grandpa for the weekend. Since we just live down the street now, we got to see him every day! We went for walks, shared toys, strollers and had so much fun! Ryker couldn't get enough of Abbi. He kissed her whenever he got the chance, hugged her, and even got down on all fours to crawl around with her. On Saturday, Stephanie and Daniel came out to play too. These three cousins are so adorable together! They will all be best friends when they are older!

Family Pictures 2013

We finally got some family pictures done! I had been dying for updated pictures! We hadn't gotten pictures taken of us since our wedding day and quite a bit has changed since then. I found a super great deal and couldn't pass it up. I'm so excited to have new pictures up on my wall! Boo Ya!

6 Months.

First of all, I can't believe I am the mother of a 6 month old. That's half way to a year! I've said this before, but time really is passing too quickly. At 6 months:
-Abbi weighs 13lbs 6oz and is 24.75 inches long. She is pretty petite (8th percentile), but her head is in the 50th percentile. She's a smarty! -Abbi has started scooting, sitting up, and is really, really close to crawling. Seriously, it's freaking me out! Time to baby proof EVERYTHING! -Officially has one tooth that has popped through, but we are fairly certain a couple more are not far behind. Thank you Tylenol!   -She is eating solids morning and night with bottles throughout the rest of the day. I've bought some little snacks, but she isn't a huge fan. The only snack she will eat are the Gerber biscuit/cookie things. She loves those! Me, not so much. FYI, they are SUPER hard to clean up!  -She is loving bath time! When she was first born, there was nothing worse than bath time. Now, if she is fussy we throw her in the bath and all is good in the world.  -She has kind of made her own sleeping schedule. Her naps during the day are pretty regular. One nap from 9-11 and another one from 1-3. After that we try and keep her up until bed time. (that's usually between 7 and 8). Usually, she wakes up once during the night for a quick bottle, then she is back to sleep. But last night she went 11 hours straight!  -She knows who strangers are. If Mom or Dad is holding her, she is a very social girl, but if we hand her off to someone she doesn't know she starts crying. (makes me feel needed :)
We honestly feel so blessed to have Abbigail in our lives. She is a very happy and playful baby. It melts my heart to see her laughing and playing with dad. She is so full of personality already. I can't wait to see what her future holds.

But today was different. Today, we discovered {pears}. I've never seen her eat so well. Thank you pears! 

But it doesn't matter how tasty, or sweet the food is we give her, nothing beats her bumbo chair.  Such a silly girl.

This Weekend...

This weekend consisted of ponytails, toys. funny faces, and more toys. What a life... 

{on a side note! We are loving the extra time with daddy! More four day weekends please!}

Because it's fun...

Because sometimes when it is freezing cold outside (i'm talking negative temperatures), snowing and and all of your other toys are suddenly boring to you, toes are the only thing that will keep you entertained. Because toes are fun. {period}

Weekend Party.

Enough said right? The weekend is a party in itself, but this particular weekend was spent with Nana and Grandpa! They make everything a party (even eating nasty rice cereal)...

And this weekend was a party because little Abbi got a homemade rocking horse from Great Grandpa Dave! It is incredible! We are so blessed to have such talented people in our lives. Check it out!
