Christmas 2013

Christmas was so fun! Isn't it always?! I just love the holiday season! Everyone seems so much more cheerful, inviting and friendly! Can't we all be that way all year round?! That's my goal for the year. Treat every day like Christmas! 

We had almost the whole family in Inkom for Christmas! Janelle and Jacob weren't able to make it, but they were there in spirit (and Facetime) which isn't as good, but we will take what we can get. With 4 babies, it was chaotic, but oh so fun! We all had a blast! Ryker, Abbi and Daniel had so much fun playing with one another. Every time they get together, it's like they've never been apart. Seriously, they're the three amigos and I love it! Sweet baby Julia was the cutest thing ever and has already changed so much since these pictures! It's nuts how fast babies grow up! Nuts I say! I'm not sure I'm totally okay with that, but that doesn't seem to matter. They just go on and grow up anyway. Although, they seem to get more and more cute as they get older. Is that even possible?! I know, I didn't think so either, but it is and they do! 

Back to Christmas! We all had a great time opening gifts and enjoying each others company. Also, there was a good hour, maybe an hour and a half that all of the babies were napping at the same time and it was glorious! We were able to sit down and play some games without wondering what the kids were getting into. It was nice. Nana and Grandpa spoiled their babies rotten (as they should) and the kids just adored them! I think they were all in Heaven. Cousins, Nana AND Grandpa? I don't think it could have been any better! 

The best part about Christmas for me is always the great company! I'm so grateful we were able to get together and spend time with each other. That's the most important thing. Right? The food was good, presents were fun, but spending time with the whole family was my favorite part!

Weekend Party.

Enough said right? The weekend is a party in itself, but this particular weekend was spent with Nana and Grandpa! They make everything a party (even eating nasty rice cereal)...

And this weekend was a party because little Abbi got a homemade rocking horse from Great Grandpa Dave! It is incredible! We are so blessed to have such talented people in our lives. Check it out!

An instaHoliday...

Needless to say, we had a bunch of fun on our Christmas Break. We were able to go to Washington and spend Christmas with my family. It was pretty Chaotic but oh so fun. It was filled with eating out (a little too much), shopping, family time, mistletoe, All Day Date (oh yeah!), free food, free babysitting, and so much more. Seriously if you can't tell, it was kinda the best!

Our sweet Abbigail is 4 months old and I can't believe it! She has such a fun, LOUD, personality. Her absolute favorite thing to do is yell. She isn't necessarily angry when she yells, it is kinda all the time. Whether she is happy, sad, mad, excited, or hungry she just yells. {talk about an attention hog}. We kinda love her. :)

Now we are home in the good 'ol Rexburg. The temperature now is about -2 so I guess winter is officially here. For the record, I am so glad the heater works in our apartment!

School starts soon (like monday!) I only have ONE class left! {WOOHOO!} Graduation is SO close! Then I will be able to stay at home and give all of my attention to Abbigail. Just like she wants.

Goodbye 2012.

Our year has been such a memorable one! I can't believe another year has passed. Here is how it went...

-Found out we were pregnant! Best. News. Ever. The expected arrival date was September 6th 2012. 

-We started a new semester of school. We were both super busy! 

-Started to look like a giant blueberry (little did I know I would get ten times that size)

-finished our semester and went to Washington for a much needed break!

-Found out we were having a little girl! 

-Baby Shower #1

-Moved to Inkom for the summer. I did an internship and drew worked his heart out. 

-1st annual Father's Day Fun Run!

-Tanner and Stephanie's wedding down in Utah.

-Inkom 4th of July Parade. {classy, very classy.}

-Baby Shower #2 and #3. (yeah, I'm kinda spoiled)

-Utah Slam - Go Dad and Justin!

-Cameron and Mckenna sealed for time and all eternity!

-Celebrated our 1st Anniversary. 

-Welcome Abbigail Anne Wright into the world. Read more about her Birth Story here!

-Little Abbi turns a month old.

-Family comes into town

-Abbigail gets blessed

- My wisdom teeth get taken out. {Booooo!}

-Halloween

-Thanksgiving

- Ryker turns one {can't believe he is getting so big}

We have returned home to the good 'ol Rexburg and can't wait for what 2013 has in store for us. 

He is holding us.

This is a busy time of year. Right now, for our family, it is finals week for Drew, we are busy trying to pass classes, pack bags, clean house, say goodbye to family moving away, get Abbigail on a more consistent sleep schedule and it all can be overwhelming. Recently, we have been pulling late nights and early mornings, and small dirt piles feel like giant mountains. We have been noticing our need for an extra hand in our lives. I just saw this video and nothing can express how I am feeling better than this. I am so grateful for the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Because He is our living Redeemer, we are never alone and He is always there to hold us through our hard times in life. He is always holding us. 

It's Christmas Time Again...

 

Last night we threw out our Ebenezer Scrooge kind of attitudes, put a smile on our faces and set up our Christmas tree! Don't get me wrong, we are excited for Christmas, it's just we don't have money, we aren't even going to be here in Rexburg for Christmas (so why decorate?) and Drew is just really busy with school. But last night we put our homework down and busted out our Christmas tree. We even played Christmas music while we decorated to get into it even more. Abbigail LOVED the lights! She watched our every move to begin with but as soon as those lights kicked on, she was mesmerized! {she is so cute}. So there you have it. We don't really have any Christmas decorations besides the Christmas tree, so that is mine and Abbi's next project. Check back soon!
