You know that one night when you decide to cut your baby girl's finger nails because every time you look at her you see she has scratched herself again, and when you cut the thumb nail, you accidentally cut a little A LOT of skin, and she starts screaming {you start bawling},her thumb is bleeding and you go through like 12 band-aids to try and get it to stop. And then even after you get the bleeding under control and she has forgotten about it, you feel guilty the rest of the night. Yeah, I would consider that a BIG, FAT, EPIC MOM FAIL!
Has this ever happened to you?
Cutest little girl award! Seriously, she's adorable!
ReplyDeleteMy sister in law used to do that all the time to my niece and she just started biting them instead.
New to your blog, and loving it :)

I haven't ever cut his finger while trimming his nails, but I have bonked his head on the door frame pretty good when I had him in the Ergobaby carrier. He screamed and I felt like a bad mom! Don't worry, she still loves you to pieces. And she's still so cute. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I did that with Brynlee's toe nails. I almost cried I felt completely horrible! Babies cry when they are in pain, so if she didn't cry don't worry! I am almost positive it happens once to everyone. haha
ReplyDeleteI just bite Em's nails. IT's way easier and she never bleeds on accident that way. :)
ReplyDeleteOkay I'm new to your blog, and what can I say, I'm in love. Your layout is gorgeous, and I love your posts and their honesty and happiness. And judging by your sidebar, we have lots of favorite reads and sponsors in common!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited to be your newest fan and follower :)

I have to admit that I did that once with Emma. Worse feeling ever! So you are definitely not alone. Luckily for the both of us, I have gotten a lot better at it and no more pinching the skin :)
ReplyDeleteI am sorry! That would be traumatic! looks like you have a forgiving child :)
